'Pearls' by my law school Democrats

I used to be very active in my law school's Democrat organization. After the Dems won, I received the following 'pearl' in my email box, by one of the members. This is an exact quotation of the email:
IMPEACHMENT! ! IMPEACHMENT! ! IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! !vIMPEACHMENT! !IMPEACHMENT! ! Followed closely by........ HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!! HANGING FOR TREASON!!!!!
This is what passes for 'rational discourse.' In response to this outlandish email, the president of the law school Democrats wrote:
Investigate, and the impeachment will take care of itself
If the Democrats follow this path, they will overplay their hand, to put it mildly. Is it too much to ask to see moderation and positivity? *sighs* Of course it is!

Your law school Dems will be left disappointed and out in the cold. Their party will ignore them now that they are in power. Recall that impeachment must meet the standard of "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors". This would be difficult to prove if brought against the President for his actions prior to the Iraq War.

Impeaching Clinton proved a mistake and backfired tremendously. Also, it took four years of a Republican majority to do it, and the Senate did not convict, which is a likely case even if Bush is impeached. Unless there is a smooking bazooka (and the Valerie Plame thing may get Cheney, but not Bush, plus most people don't understand that or relate to it), then the new majority would quickly lose credibility.

Impeachment achieves nothing. Indictment in European courts does make life a little difficult though. Ask Kissinger. Every ime he travels anywhere on the planet he has to consult a team of lawyers.

Not only that, but one of them wants Bush literally hung. I think he will be disappointed!

RB:

I actually agree with you, but that is up to the Europeans.

The Europeans actions are essentially an act of war. Quite frankly, we need to react with severity. Threaten to remove Germany and Belgium from NATO, and certainly start moving bases out.

Notice how the international "human rights" people seem to think only the west can do wrong?

Mr. Smarterthanyou:

I already wrote about the double standards of the 'human rights-ers.' It's called the soft bigotry of low expectations.

I need to format the track-backs though; please can you provide a couple of links to this post.

To save me coding time I am using Javascript atm, which is why it is slow. (When you load the page it doesn't display the tables; it actually builds them from scratch by reading the instructions I have posted on a different domain.) That will be resolved as soon as I am happy with the design and have replaced the remote scripts.

I imagine he's not hung at all. He's probably rather small down there, actually.

It would explain a lot of his behavior if you look at it as compensation for lack of size.

Jason, all that does is prove you are a bitchy fag.

And if it wasn't something I hear gays say, I wouldn't have said it. Sad.
