Trouble in Darfur - it's all a conspiracy theory!

The Sudanese president - he who has presided over a genocide - has declared that the US and Britain are "conspiring against the country as diplomats to adopt a resolution, giving the UN authority over the region as peacekeepers." He said there is a move to "colonize" his country. The audacity of this man knows no bounds. This same man earlier blamed Jewish organizations for pushing for peacekeeping troops. The fact that this man is a leader of a nation - allowing a genocide of his own countryman - and then has the gaul to say such statements is enough to make one vomit. A genocide is okay - but let's not take away Sudan's autonomy! Oh no, that would be...bad! *rolls eyes* It's also, sadly, typical of the attitude of the radical Muslim world. "We can do whatever atrocity we want against our own people. We can genocide, rape, maim, kill, and/or mutilate our own people. But don't you dare stop us, because otherwise you are 'in it for the oil,' or 'colonizers,' or 'out to control the world,' or 'hate Muslims.' Never mind that these bastards are free to - and freely - call for the death of nonMuslims and a return to Sharia law. Never mind that they themselves actually hate nonMuslims. They will cry bloody murder if you insinuate that THEIR actions are wrong. Just sad, sad, sad. The worst part about it is that we are buying into it. We actually believe there are things we can do to appease these bastards, when in fact appeasing them makes them believe they can ask for more. You give them a finger, they want a hand. You give them a hand, they want an arm, and so on. I am so sick of a dialogue that even takes a man like the Sudanese president seriously. I am so sick of a media that accepts such a cretin as a member of the human race!

Everything is a conspiracy to the Islamoleftists-- Jews control the world, 911 is an inside job, war for oil-- it is all theory and zero fact.

Conspracies are also common on the christofascist right, though the left has better conspiracy theorices since leftists are marginally smarter and can read above a pre-school level, unlike the right wingers.

Jason--

There is an old Persian proverb that goes, "A blind person who sees is better than a seeing person who is blind."

Someone like George W. Bush may not be the sharpest tool in the box, but he sees the big picture in the world today. Democrats, even though they consider themselves enlightened and sophisticated, do not.

I'd also add that the Democrats have moved so far to the left they've actually reached the other end of the circle and look like the reincarnation of rightwinger Charles Lindbergh today-- isolationist, protectionist, and increasingly anti-semitic.

For the record, I am neither a fascist nor a Christian.

I don't see any evidence that he can even see whats right in front of him.

""""Democrats, even though they consider themselves enlightened and sophisticated, do not.""""

The only "big picture" to see is that religion is going to destroy humanity unless something is done to declaw it and get it under control.

The anti-semitism is coming from the lefts increasing fetishistic worship of Muslims and everything they stand for, and because people are convinced that the Palestinian situation is the most important issue in the world today. (I don't see it as any worse than many of the conflicts in Africa, which get less media attention simply because they aren't nearly as tied to American interests as middle eastern conflicts.)

The only big picture is this; the problem facing humanity is religion.
